2005 Los Carneros Chardonnay, Catherine's Vineyard

2005 Los Carneros Chardonnay, Catherine's Vineyard

Bonneau's fourth Los Carneros, Chardonnay wine release is made from our own estate-grown grapes. The Catherine Bonneau vineyard is located 8 miles south of Sonoma.

This exquisite Chardonnay is bright golden yellow in color. The nose wafts with citrus and ripe tropical fruit. These ripe fruit flavors fill the palate and are nicely framed by a modest amount of high quality French oak. The texture is supple with the silkiness of glycerin in the mouth. It has a snappy, slightly spicy finish that lingers on the palate. This well balanced wine has layers of complexity and a special air of refinement that speaks to the care and attention to detail in the making of this wine.

1100 cases were produced.

But, despite that later aromatic element, there is nothing about the wine's impact in the mouth that is anything other than full, fleshy and fairly inviting..."

Los Carneros Chardonnay, Catherine's Vineyard Wine Information

All the grapes for our flagship Chardonnay wine were hand harvested from the Catherine Bonneau Vineyard and carefully transported to the winery. After gently pressing whole clusters, the juice was fermented in 100% French oak barrels.
