2004 Los Carneros Chardonnay, Catherine's Vineyard

2004 Los Carneros Chardonnay, Catherine's Vineyard

This wine shows a full, lemon-yellow color. Aromas display ripe pineapples, lemon zest intermixed with white peach and accents of toast and hazelnuts. On the palate the wine presents succulent citrus and tropical flavors tastefully framed by the delicate oak, with a creamy round texture. The finish is lush and manifests a delightful suggestion of vanilla bean.

Our finest effort yet. Less than 800 cases were produced.

88-One Star - Connoisseur's Guide to California Wine - October 2007

“The sweet, slightly honeyed qualities and comparatively fat feel of this very ripe wine convey the impression of a chardonnay nearing its peak, but, if fairly developed and wholly accessible now, it has a fair bit of fruit at its center and is not in danger of falling apart any time soon."

“California Chardonnay lovers will enjoy this full-bodied wine that's lush with pear, apple, lemon and spicy oak..."

Los Carneros Chardonnay, Catherine's Vineyard Wine Information

All the grapes for our flagship Chardonnay wine were hand harvested from the Catherine Bonneau Vineyard and carefully transported to the winery. After gently pressing whole clusters, the juice was fermented in 100% French oak barrels.
